Poor Gut Health: Public Enemy Number One

Poor Gut Health: Public Enemy Number One

Pro-biotics?Bacteria balance? While these are all key factors they most certainly aren’t the full story.

Defining a Generation + My (Brief)Story

Since I was a child I can recall eating poorly. I recognize this habit now, but at the time it was just a way of life and could be written off as completely normal behavior on a personal and societal standard. I’m sure many of us can relate.

I recall a diet high in sugar, processed foods, fast foods, and oh so much more.

Then, when I hit my teen years, I started with standard symptoms, I was ridden with acne. It was treated with antibiotics for 6 years time.

Then I was introduced to hormonal birth control paired with those antibiotics. I gained weight, stress, and yes, even more, acne.

Then I went to college. I lived like the average college-aged American. Clean food was scarce. Sugar and carbs were at an all-time high, and I was stressed.

I think that this is what it looks like for many people.

If you know my story, you’ll know that it was during this time were I contracted mono twice, got toxic mold poisoning from an apartment, and developed candida from my backlog of antibiotic use. I also gained 50 pounds, and then lost 70 pounds, and so much more.

Now, I am healing my hormones, EBV, Candida, SIBO, rare parasites, a knee injury, and yes, even more.

Now, I want to be clear, I am not complaining. Actually not in the slightest. I have discovered the key that all these symptoms have in common and how to heal. In fact, I am so motivated by my practice and research I actually help other individuals identify their mystery or chronic illness and help them heal their guts, hormones, and health.

A Better Future

I wrote here today to make a statement about what got me here in the hopes that those also suffering may become healed and that others can take the precautionary measures to avoid this path altogether.

This story is precisely the war on gut health, on a micro-level.

Pesticides, fast food, antibiotics, toxins,  and more. This is the modern world. And? It’s making people sick.

Now, I do not blame the companies, the government, or lack of education on the matter. I don’t blame any of it. But it needs to be clarified and made aware of.

Your gut is the key to wellness. From the gut-brain axis to our bodies being 10x bacteria than human cells- our gut plays a large role in our health.
